Acceptable use policy

What you can run on ServersCamp and what happens when the rules are broken.

Last updated: October 5, 2026 · Effective: October 5, 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to every account on ServersCamp.

1. Prohibited use

We only forbid things that harm other people, us included. You may not use ServersCamp for any of the following.

WhatNot allowedWhat we do
CSAMHosting child sexual abuse materialAccount terminated, reported to authorities and law enforcement
AttacksDenial-of-service attacks, traffic floods, amplification and other network abuse against any systemSuspended without notice
Brute forcePassword attempts and sweeps against SSH, RDP, databases and similar servicesSuspended without notice
MalwareHosting or distributing malware, viruses, ransomware or exploit kits, and botnet command-and-controlSuspended without notice
Spam and phishingSpam, unsolicited bulk email including direct delivery on port 25, phishing sitesSuspended without notice
ScanningProbing, scanning or testing systems you do not own without explicit authorisationWe ask first, suspended if there is no answer
ScrapingHigh-rate automated requests against sites and APIs you do not operate. Your own sites are fine at any rate. If scraping is your product, tell support first. We ask first, suspended if there is no answer
Public proxies and VPNsOpen proxies, and proxy or VPN services offered to the public. A personal VPN for you and your team is fine.Suspended, you get a chance to fix it
Tor exitsRunning a Tor exit relaySuspended, you get a chance to fix it
MiningCryptocurrency mining on any credit we gave you. Mining is allowed only on money you paid in yourself.Suspended or the server's CPU capped to 5-10%, at our choice, without notice
CopyrightInfringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual propertyNotice passed to you, see third-party notices
Torrents and P2PSharing films, music, books or software you have no right to share. Public trackers, indexers and open seedboxes run for strangers. Torrent clients as such are fine.Notice passed to you, suspended if ignored
Illegal useAnything that breaks the law in your jurisdiction or oursSuspended, you get a chance to fix it

In serious cases we act first and look into it after. If you think we made a mistake, open a support ticket.

2. Enforcement

We act on credible abuse reports and on what our own monitoring sees in outbound traffic. Fraud is treated like the severe cases above and suspended without notice. When we ask first, we open a ticket on your account with what we saw. If the work is yours and legitimate, we close the case and note it on the account.

The rules are the same for every account. Trial accounts differ only in smaller resource limits. Detection is automatic. On an account running on credit we gave you we may act right away. On other accounts a person looks at the case first.

Cases not listed. The table covers the common cases, not every one. If something else running on your account harms other people or us, we may cap the server's CPU, network or disk, or suspend it, and we will tell you what we saw.

Third-party notices. We do not monitor what you move across the network, but under Romanian law we must act once we are notified. When a rightsholder, an upstream carrier or an authority sends a notice, we pass it to you with the details. Deal with it and tell us what you did, and we close the case. If you do not answer within the time stated in the notice, or the same server keeps drawing complaints, we suspend it until the matter is settled. We act on court and authority orders straight away.

Suspension. Every server in the organisation is powered off, and the account cannot create resources or start servers until the case is closed. Data is not deleted. You can still sign in and open a ticket to appeal. If the detection was wrong, we lift the suspension.

Termination. Repeat offenders, farmed accounts and accounts created to abuse our credit are terminated. Termination deletes every resource in the account, including networks and routers, and cannot be reversed or appealed.

3. Reporting abuse

To report abuse coming from our network, write to [email protected] with the IP address, the time with timezone, and logs or headers that show what happened.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. Changes are posted on this page and take effect 7 days after publication. A change that only adds a measure against abuse can take effect on publication.
