Email Gateway
Email Gateway
Send password resets and notifications from your applications over SMTP or the API.
What it is for
The mail your applications send on their own: a password reset from GitLab, a notification from Nextcloud, an alert from your service. You point the application at our gateway and it delivers the mail.
It is not a newsletter service. Marketing mail is against the Acceptable Use Policy.
What you get
Addresses
Make an address in the panel. Its SMTP login is the address itself, and you can read its password again.
SMTP
Port 587 with a login, as any application with mail settings expects.
API
Send from code with one request. The panel shows examples for curl, Python and Node.js.
Log
Every message of an address with its result, and the reason when it was not delivered.
Questions
What can I send?
Mail your application sends to its own users: password resets, sign-up confirmations, notifications, alerts. Newsletters and advertising are not allowed.
Which address does the mail come from?
From an address you make in the panel, <name>@<your space>.serverscamp-mailer.com. Sending from your own domain is not available yet.
Why not send from my server directly?
Outgoing port 25 is closed on new servers. The gateway is the way to send mail from them.
How much can I send?
Each account has a daily limit and a per-minute limit, shown in the panel. Ask for more on the Limits page in the Cloud Panel.
What happens to a bounced address?
An address that bounced hard is refused from then on, so it does not hurt delivery for everyone else.
