ServersCamp is a hosting service under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). We provide cloud servers, storage and networks to our customers. What runs on them belongs to the customers, and we do not publish it ourselves. This page explains how to reach us about illegal content and what happens after you do.
1. Point of contact
Authorities, customers and anyone else can write to [email protected]. This is our single point of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act. Customers can also open a ticket in Cloud Panel. Authorities can write to us in Romanian or English, everyone else in English.
ServersCamp S.R.L., Șos. Colentina 16, Bl. A5, Ap. B44, Sector 2, Bucharest 021177, Romania. CUI 50730737.
2. Reporting illegal content
To report content you believe is illegal, write to [email protected] with:
- why you believe the content is illegal;
- where it is: the exact URL, or the IP address and port, so we can find it;
- your name and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.
Reports of child sexual abuse material do not need your name or email address.
We confirm that we received the report, look at it, and tell you what we decided. Network abuse such as attacks, scanning or spam is covered in the Acceptable Use Policy.
3. What we do with a report
We host whole servers, so we cannot remove a single file from a customer's server. When a report holds up, we pass it to the customer with the details and a deadline. If the content stays up after the deadline, we suspend the server until it is removed. In serious cases, and when an authority orders it, we suspend the server straight away. The Acceptable Use Policy lists what is not allowed and what we do in each case.
Reports from outside are always looked at by a person. Our own monitoring of outbound traffic is automatic. On accounts running on credit we gave, it may suspend a server by itself, and a person reviews the case afterwards. On other accounts a person decides.
4. What we tell the customer
When we suspend a server or an account, or restrict it in another way, we tell the customer by ticket or email what we did, why, which facts we relied on, which rule or law it breaks, and how to contest it. We leave this out only when an authority tells us not to inform the customer.
5. Contesting a decision
A customer or the person who sent the report can contest our decision by replying in the ticket or writing to [email protected]. A person looks at the case again and replies with the result. If we got it wrong, we undo the measure.
You can also take the matter to the courts or file a complaint with ANCOM, the Digital Services Coordinator in Romania.
6. Crimes and orders from authorities
When we have reason to believe a crime threatening someone's life or safety is happening or is planned, we inform the police or the prosecutor's office. Child sexual abuse material and terrorism are always reported to the authorities. For fraud and phishing we stop the server, keep the records and hand them to the authorities when they ask. In all these cases we keep the data as evidence and delete nothing until the matter is closed.
We act on orders from Romanian and EU authorities without delay and tell the authority what we did.
